Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers That Are Making Waves
One of my obsessions is Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. They were founded in 2000 after merging the creative spirit of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have become a major designer brand with boutiques all over the world, and it’s one that many fashion lovers are drawn to.
I’ve known about Golden Goose for years and I would often check out the collection on FarFetch, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always found them a bit pricey and resembled Converse too much, so they were always on my mental wishlist. Some time back, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what pushed me to explore them deeper. Seeing his pair up close and realizing the uniqueness of each pair because they’re handmade in Italy, I was more intrigued. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are deliberately worn-looking and made to seem broken-in, they are all hand done so each one is different. Some have much more abrasions and dirt than others, so the variation is wide.
If you’re shopping offline, it might be a good idea to look at multiple pairs and choose from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to hope you get a good pair!The pair of sneakers that I liked from the beginning are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been available for years, but I never ended up purchasing them.
I actually ended up getting the silver pair from Shopbop, and they’re a pair I have styled multiple times (see here and my Golden Goose review here). I absolutely love them! I bought another pair identical and customized them with new laces + colored accents, so they’re really fun! I also own a pair of plush burgundy style, and two pairs of taller silhouettes!
